Vilincia Patrick

was born near Scranton, NC, but grew up near Aurora, NC. During the summer as a little girl, her mother supplied her with books to read, including Felisha the Critic. She felt the urge to write in eighth grade because of her English teacher, Mrs. Evans, and she began writing her first coming-of-age novel, My Dream Guy, in 2000. A Fool’s Dreams; Book 2 followed, and Dreams Lost is the third in a series; work is progressing on its sequel. Soon to be published is Dream Life and the current work-in-progress, The Young Manhood Society.

In 2004, she started examining screenplays. In 2022, Vilincia graduated from Los Angeles Film School with a bachelor of science in filmmaking.

Vilincia attended Koinonia Christian Center in Greenville, North Carolina, and now belongs to Bethel Baptist Church Ministries in Kannapolis, North Carolina. She enjoys spending time with her family and working on music in her spare time. She earned a screenwriting certificate from NYC’s Gotham Writers Workshop and a creative writing certificate from FutureLearn.
